New Tunic / Dress Pattern from Simplicity
Published by Jen February 20th, 2007 in Plus-Size Sewing Patterns.Thank goodness for Khali Ali and her patterns at Simplicity! Without her I’m afraid plus-size sewing patterns would still be stuck in the dark ages.
Simplicity pattern 3869 is a dress and tunic pattern with a belt. I’m not much of a dress person but I do have a thing for tunics. I have this tunic pattern from McCall’s in progress.

Woot! I like those patterns, especially the blue dress. They are perfect for a curvy figure. Are you going to make it?
I’m seriously thinking about making tunic B or C. The blue dress is nice! I also like the long dress with sleeve option B.
I started to make a tunic very much like B, when i truly had no idea what i was doing needless to say I totally stuffed it up:)
I really like the diamond detail on C.
I have made 3 (yes, three!) of the dresses (pictured in brown. It’s not tiered — that’s the fabric used in the photo), which are long versions of the white tunic. They are awesome, and look great!
They go together fairly easily, too. The hardest part is the interfacing on the neck slit. I think maybe by the fifth time I’ll have that part down pat.
