Coming up next week…
Happy weekend! And yes, this is still bigcrafty.com. I’m not sure that I’m sold on this look yet, so you may notice the look changing completely over the next month while I play with it. This is a Wordpress theme straight out of the box and I’d like to do something a little more custom.
The important part is that I’ll still be posted every day during the week and sometimes on weekends.
I’ve got some great stuff for next week: I picked up two Tahki Stacy Charles books at my LYS - the 2nd edition of Crochet and the Spring Summer 2007 Collection (knitted). I’ll give you the sizing scoop on those.
I also have the new Knit Simple and BHG’s Knit It!
And kindest reader Sarah has sent in a list of her favorite sewing patterns - I’ll post a list of them here.
I found out a little more about the duct-tape double but I think I’m just going to have to do it to understand it. Not sure how my toddler would react to me being immobile for 2 hours! It’ll be tantrum-ville if I can’t figure something out.
Have a great weekend! And don’t forget to leave your blog address if you want to be added to the Big Crafty Blogroll!
A useful list. Keep up the good work, Jen. Lots of people will be thanking you!
Liz
Thanks for sharing all this info, Jen. Reluctant Penguin would be honored to be added to your blogroll.
Hello Jen,
Thank you so much for your effort on searching and sharing with us. I do look around, and believe it or not, there were some pattern that I had miss on Lion Brand as well as on Mag Knits, and saw them here. Keep up the good work.
Marilyn
Very nice list - I do have one request/suggestion though. It’d be helpful if links on your site would open new windows rather than opening in the same window\tab that I have your site open in. Then if I get off on a tangent when I click through, it’s easier to just come back to your site in another window. In my blog software, it’s an option I can select when creating the link - not sure how it works with yours but figured I’d mention it
Thanks for the suggestion Anne, I’ll do that! Some rules say to make links open in the same window out of courtesy to the reader, but since I have so many outgoing links, I think I can rightly break that rule.
Ah, I hadn’t even thought of that, and perhaps it’s just me LOL. I will sometimes just get off on little tangents, and end up with a bunch of tabs open to various places and then go through and save what I’d like to and be able to come back here. You’re quickly becoming my first stop any time I want to find new patterns, just because I’m realizing how many things DONT give plus options.
