Your web-site is a treasure chest full of good things! You really did a great job organizing the patterns. I just came home from our local Fiber Fest and saw a lovely shawl that was done like the diagonal pattern scarf that has been around for a while. The knitter explained how to make one as there is not a pattern but I need written instructions. She said something like you knit the big triangle down to one stitch and then turn and cast-on the width of the side and keep going. HUH? I'm sure it made sense to her but I can't figure it out. Have you run across anything like this? Help!
       Thanks-

Hi Anne - thanks for recommending my site!

As for tanks, I've seen many nice shrug and bolero patterns that might help. I'll have to do another post dedicated to those.

Wow what a great list, and long-term reference. Thank you for all the work you do, Jen - I recommended your site to a lady I met at my LYS last week; hopefully she's come to visit. Now if I can just come up with a shawl or shrug or light summer cardigan that I can wear in the office. I like wearing tanks, but hate 2 things - the size of my arms when I'm walking around and actually in meetings or whatever, and the fact that sometimes the AC gets a little wacky and I freeze. I just can't seem to find the right pattern to look into. Any suggestions?

Thank you! I have some Texan heritage... my great-great-great-great grandfather, Martin Varner, was one of the original settlers and had the first whiskey still in Texas! He sold his patch of swamp land on the outskirts of Houston to the Hogg family who, generations later, became very rich from the oil they found on that land. C'est la vie.
