7 New Free Lion Brand and Berroco Patterns
Published by Jen March 20th, 2007 in Plus-Size Knitting Patterns, Plus-Size Crochet Patterns, Free Patterns.Lion Brand has been good lately about publishing new patterns in plus sizes. All of the following new patterns go up to 2x. Two of these are scarves but I thought they deserved a mention. Some of these are knit and some are crochet.
The Berroco sweaters go up to 1X, or 48″ around, so I thought I might as well mention them.
Coming up this week, I have the latest Creative Knitting Magazine and the Tahki Crochet book for Spring 2007. I also picked up so many Simplicity patterns that half of them will surely be out of fashion by the time I get around to making them. And I’ll post Friday’s free patterns on Thursday night this time!
Have a happy, peaceful, creative week.

Hi Jen! A quick note about that Wren pattern from Berroco. http://www.savannahchik.com/ has put a good analysis of that pattern up on her blog… basically the photo is very deceptive. Those pointy corners on the front of the piece are because of how they staged it (maybe they could be blocked in, as well). They’re not in the pattern: it has 90 degree, regular corners all around. She gives a good little tutorial on how to adjust the pattern. Thought y’all might like to know!
It’s a gorgeous cardigan though! Well worth the effort, I’d think.
Thanks for the good tip!
I am enjoying exploring your website. Plus sizes are hard to find and I appreciate finding links for them. I am going to add my name to your email list!
Thanks again.
