I recently discovered that virtually all of Vermont Fiber Designs patterns go up to 6x, and they have some beautiful ones!    I made the dress 3804 — the one which goes over to the side, though I made mine longer. I am a strictly novice sewer, but it went together easily and is beautiful!

   and yes, you can use less fabric than it calls for. I made it work in 5 yards.

   buttrick patterms has a plus sized section that goes to 6x. i love it i don’t have to alter anyhting just cut and sew
